yep you're right, we have this program called Avex and i can copy my dvds and put them on my ipod...

The best one I use is called Videora
It's specially for the iPod and has step-by-step instructions for every kind of conversion.
The only thing I can say, is when converting a DVD with DVD Decrypter, don't forget to select the top two, even though the instructions only says the top one; one is the video file, and one is the sound file.
